Merkx + Girod Architects pitched the design of the Amsterdam Hermitage. My drawings were to represent what the future museum would be like once its building was transformed from an retirement home to a Dutch version of the grand Hermitage of Saint Petersburg. Once the concept drawings were accepted (see below) I also 3D illustrated the walls of the two ballrooms based on the originl blue prints of the Russian Hermitage. In one of them the drawings were printed in gold. The wall decorations also included embelishing the family emblem of the Russian tsars. |
