Merkx & Girod Architects renovated and reconstructured the building of The Council of State in The Hague. On Her Highness' 25th anniversary the Dutch Queen Beatrix was given a specially designed carpet to decorate the Ball Room of the government building. I drew the illustrations printed on the carpet. The image represents an authentic bird's eye view of the Dutch countryside. Images below show the desing in progress & the ready carpet in the Ball Room.
