How Much Is That Doggy In The Window? |
|||||||||||||||
Haarlem NL, November 2005 A shop-window exhibition, which transformed the oldest commercial street of the city of Haarlem into a bustling art-route. 25 artists were invited to refurbish shops-fronts with their artworks. Curated by Aart van der Kuijl. My work occupying the shop-windows of a curtain-shop consisted of the installation HIDE AND SEE. The lo-key robot developed in collaboration with Alex Schaub aka Fabguru (who recently constructed my MUTOSCOPE) featured a fashion-doll draped from head-to-toe in fabric. The motorised mannequin moved at regular intervals delicately drawing the attention of unsuspecting window-shoppers. The parallel window frame showcased the photo-series Me & I. |
